Liderazgo con Propósito
Companies don't fail only for lack of strategy; they fail from weakness of character and the absence of principles.
Jesús V. Izquierdo, from the foreword
Synopsis

In a business world marked by uncertainty, Liderazgo con Propósito puts forward a blunt truth: strategy without values weakens, and success without character is fragile. Through real experiences and corporate cases, Jesús V. Izquierdo shows how to integrate governance, innovation, family succession and talent management under a single axis: purpose, integrity and transcendent vision. A call to lead not only to grow, but to leave a legacy.

Liderazgo con Propósito explores the decisions that define the course of organizations when the environment demands something more than technical knowledge: discernment, character and purpose.

Foreword

We live in times that leave no room for superficial leadership.

In more than three decades working with business owners, entrepreneurs, board members and business families, I have learned something they don't teach in MBA programs: companies don't fail only for lack of strategy; they fail from weakness of character and the absence of principles.

I have seen organizations grow extraordinarily. I have seen family businesses prosper for generations. But I have also seen corporate giants fall in a matter of months.

What makes the difference is not technical capability alone; it is integrity, it is purpose, it is moral clarity and the courage to do things right in a world that does not necessarily reward what is right in business.

As a believer and a businessman of many years, I am convinced that leadership is not simply an organizational position; it is a spiritual responsibility. We answer not only to a board of directors, but to God.

This contribution does not seek to indoctrinate, nor to turn companies into churches; rather, it pursues something deeper: to draw the attention of business leaders who wish to add value to their business models and strengthen their leadership with new tools, deepening their understanding of business strategy, which without purpose is empty; of organizational innovation, which without integrity becomes corrupt; and of success without values, which ends up as failure, a failure that shows itself in many ways.

When leadership meets purpose, everything changes.
